How the Animation Works

The animation effect is inspired by the principles of a phenakistoscope.

You can see a subtle, slightly blurry animation effect with the naked eye as the cup spins. However, if you want to see the crisp, smooth animation shown in our video, you’ll need to record it with your phone.

For the best result, we recommend recording in 4K at 120 fps, then exporting the video at 25–30 fps using your editing app.

It might take a little experimenting to get the perfect result, but that’s part of the fun! ❤️
